Jo Cates wins Alumni Achievement Award from Simmons

Jo Cates, Associate Vice President of Academic Research and Dean of the Library has been awarded the 2012 Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) Alumni Achievement Award from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. Dean Cates holds an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Boston University, and a M.S. in Library Science from Simmons College. Her selection by the Alumni Board indicates that she has "demonstrated excellence in a way that exceeds the boundaries of her position, and achieved national and international influence as an outstanding role model for library and information professionals". Dean Cates will be honored at the Simmons GSLIS Alumni Annual Gala in April.
